Leading International Bank is hiring for a Deputy Head of Finance to join their London Branch. This role would require office attendance a minimum of 4 days a week so it is essential the successful candidate is able to commit to this. The position will be leading the finance function whilst the current incumbent is seconded into a projects role.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight for Month-end management accounts and reports providing commentaries of performance against budget.
  • Deputise for and manage the team in the absence of the SMF2, including the maintenance of the integrity of the Books & Records of the bank.
  • Oversight of production of daily monitoring of key regulatory metrics
  • Ensure Financial/Statutory accounts and assisting external auditors to maintain the integrity of the books and records of the Bank.
  • Responsibility for Tax compliance, including the annual and quarterly rolling computations to ensure that the quarterly payments are appropriate and promptly settled. VAT compliance and other fiscal obligations.
  • Budgets and forecast production.
  • Checking and review of COREP and Bank of England reports.
  • Enhancement of controls and trouble shooting and automating where possible.
  • Liaise with Front Office on daily risk management
  • Oversee reports to the Parent Company
  • Contribute to finance projects and development

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of Financial, Management & Regulatory Reporting within the banking industry (ideally a branch or subsidiary)
  • Good working knowledge of PRA/Bank of England regulatory requirements
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Proven managerial experience
  • Strong technical skills and ability to manage deadlines
  • Previous experience with Equation and Lombard Risk - desirable
  • Experience of working closely on finance projects to improve processes

This role will involve regular interaction with key stakeholders across the business so it is therefore important that you have excellent interpersonal skills. Unfortunately the bank is unable to provide visa sponsorship so you must have prior right to work in the UK and be available to start within a 1 month notice period max.
