Eames is currently partnered with a leading global personal lines insurer who is looking for a Lead Data Scientist to take ownership of the development and implementation of data science solutions.
This is a Surrey/hybrid role. You will be required in the office 1 - 2 times per week. The salary up to £75,000, depending on experience plus bonuses and benefits.
The role:
· Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify data-driven opportunities, design experiments, and develop analytical approaches to address specific challenges.
· Influence business stakeholders in shaping innovative analytics opportunities aligned with strategic objectives, evaluating potential, scoping projects, and defining deliverables.
· Develop and deploy advanced machine learning models using Azure Machine Learning and open-source stack, ensuring robustness through statistical analysis and hypothesis testing.
· Coach and mentor data science team members, fostering their growth and skill development while delivering impactful insights through data visualizations and dashboards.
The candidate:
· Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a strong track record in leading and delivering advanced data science projects, particularly within the Insurance Domain.
· Proficiency in Python or R programming languages, extensive experience with ML algorithms and models, including Regression, Tree-based, Unsupervised, and NLP.
· Understanding of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, experimental design, and expertise in machine learning algorithms and frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch.
