My client is seeking an experienced GI actuary to take up a manager-level position within their Singapore Actuarial team covering reserving and analytics.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing actuarial services to support the business' operations across APAC including: reserving, reporting, portfolio management and technical analysis.
- Leading/co-leading reserving processes and analytics.
- Researching, collating, obtaining and analysing statistical data for decision making/specific processes.
- Produce ad hoc reporting in response to queries from Underwriters, Managers and Actuaries.
Suitable candidates will have a strong academic background with 4-8 years' relevant actuarial experience within the general insurance industry, and a sound understanding in financial and actuarial principles to assess risks. Candidates should possess excellent analytical, problem solving, research, and communicative skills.
