Rapidly growing Real Estate Investment Firm is currently searching for an Assistant Accountant to add to their corporate finance team.

Having enjoyed enormous growth in the recent past in terms of headcount and influence in the market, they are looking for a bright and ambitious candidate to take ownership of basic accounting responsibilities immediately. Over the next 6 - 12 months there will emerge space for this role to grow into, which will mean picking up responsibilities in budgeting, planning, and strategic decision making for the business.

Key responsibilities:

Run the purchase ledger function:

  • Coding and Posting of AP Invoices
  • Payment of invoices via BACS Payment
  • Managing suppliers; Dealing with intra-company queries.

Run the staff expenses function:

  • Administration of Digital Expense Process
  • Reviewing and Processing Expense Claims on a monthly basis
  • Management of Executive Assistant Team to ensure expenses deadlines are kept

Administering Petty Cash for employee travel

Provide weekly and monthly cash flow reporting for the group and monitor cash balance

Weekly bank postings

Requirements:

  • 2:1 or above at degree level in a relevant subject (Accountancy, Finance, Economics, etc.)
  • Strong MS Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Understanding of basic accountancy concepts (double entry, trial balance, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal skills

This is an ideal role for recent graduates with some amount of accounting experience looking to make their first permanent move into accounting. Full study support is provided towards your desired accounting qualification, with 2 days off per exam also provided. Furthermore, a highly competitive salary is provided as well as a generous bonus of 25% in your first year.
