A well established Asset Manager is looking for a Part Qualified Assistant Accountant to join their finance team in London.
The opportunity is the perfect role for someone with experience within Financial Accounting looking to step up and take on more responsibility
Supporting the VP Finance & General Ledger Accountant, you will work on a range of tasks to help with the smooth running of the finance function and ensure all deadlines are met
Additionally, a bespoke study package is on offer to assist you with a professional qualification including a generous amount of paid study leave. Furthermore, you will have daily interaction with senior stakeholders such as the managing directors & CFO Europe - this position offers the opportunity to build relationships with key figures in the industry from day one.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of the statutory accounts for FRS102 financial statements for four UK legal entities, including gathering support and working calculations.
- Liaise with the external auditors at interim and final audit and take responsibility for managing parts of the audit.
- Monitoring balance sheet reconciliations and undertake investigative work to provide commentary on variances and identify issues when they arise.
- Month end tasks including prepayments, accruals, depreciation calculations & journals.
Our ideal candidate:
- Active student within ACCA - ideally Part Qualified level - Full study support offered with the role
- Relevant experience within Financial Accounting, an understanding of Accruals, Prepayments, Journals, Statutory Accounting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with senior stakeholders
- Experience of Accounting for Asset Management, Banking, FCA regulated entities
