Job Description

Assistant Fund Accountant role working for a medium sized private equity firm, suited to someone who is early on in their studies with 6-18 months experience or equivalent at a fund admin firm or in-house. Career progression is pretty much guaranteed and you'll be working as part of finance team of 12 with this role created due to growth. Full study support for ACCA or CIMA will be provided.

Key responsibilities:

* Entering invoices into the accounting system to ensure the purchase ledger is kept up to date
* Preparation of drawdowns & distributions for the funds
* Assisting with the preparation of quarterly and ad hoc reports
* Setting up payments on the banking system
* Bank reconciliations, posting and balancing
* As experience increases take on sole responsibility for preparation of the fund accounts
* Working with the portfolio management team to assist with the upload of investment movements in the quarter
* Assisting with the year-end audits
* Other ad hoc tasks

Your background:
* Part qualified ACCA, CIMA or equivalent - ideally early on in your studies
* Degree educated or equivalent with around 6 to 18 months experience in fund administration or fund accounting, either in-house at another fund or in a fund administration firm
* Strong analytical skills
* Good excel skills
* Helpful and willing to provide whatever support is necessary to the team
* Able to multi-task
* Attention to detail
* Good inter-personal skills and a collaborative approach
