Summary

My client is a Hong Kong headquartered private equity firm specializing in Secondary markets. They currently have around $800M USD of AUM and are expanding the team. They are looking for either Big 4 audit professionals who cover Private Equity clients or someone with in house Fund Admin/Management experience. Exposure in KYC/AML will be a big plus. Candidates must speak English and Mandarin for this position.

Key Responsibilities

To assist the Finance & Administration Manager in accomplishing the following: 

  • Accounting and financial operations
    • Prepare quarterly financial reporting and year-end financial statements
    • Responsible for compliance functions including KYC/AML
    • Act as liaison with auditors and tax advisors
    • Assist in budgeting and treasury operations
  • Fund administration
    • Compile quarterly fund NAV
    • Assist in the preparation of quarterly fund financial statements and investor reporting package
    • Prepare capital calls, distributions and monitor cash flow
  • Office management
    • Assist in HR matters (MPF, annual leave record, employee tax returns, etc.)
    • Assist in bank-related work and company secretarial matters 

Requirements 

  • Education: Degree in finance or accounting with a professional CPA qualification
  • Experience:
    • 2 years of experience in accounting or fund administration management
    • Ideally Big 4 audit experience
  • Skills:
    • Good communication & interpersonal skills
    • Enjoy working in a small team environment
    • Hands-on and independent
    • Strong team player with integrity
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Languages: Fluency (oral and written) in English and Mandarin is a must. Additional Asian languages will be an advantage
