​Our client, a globally renowned insurance firm is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Manager IT Auditor to join their team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting audits related to database systems, network security, and operating systems. As an Assistant Manager IT Auditor, you will work closely with the IT audit team and other stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of IT controls and processes.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform comprehensive IT audits covering database systems, network security, and operating systems within the insurance sector.

  2. Develop and execute IT audit plans independently, considering the organization's risk profile and regulatory requirements.

  3. Evaluate the design and effectiveness of IT controls and provide recommendations for improvement.

  4. Assess the integrity, reliability, and security of information systems and related infrastructure.

  5. Identify vulnerabilities and risks in IT systems and propose appropriate control measures.

  6. Conduct reviews of IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance.

  7. Collaborate with IT teams and business units to implement and monitor corrective actions resulting from audit findings.

  8. Stay up-to-date with emerging IT risks and industry best practices related to the insurance sector.

  9. Prepare and concise audit reports, highlighting findings, recommendations, and remediation plans.

  10. Communicate audit results to management and provide guidance on IT control frameworks and compliance requirements.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP) would be an advantage.

  2. Proven experience in IT auditing, preferably within the insurance sector.

  3. Strong knowledge of database systems, network security, and operating systems.

  4. Familiarity with IT risk assessment methodologies and control frameworks.

  5. Ability to independently develop and execute comprehensive IT audit plans.

  6. Proficient in conducting risk assessments and identifying control deficiencies.

  7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  8. Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including report writing and presentation skills.

  9. Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.

  10. Knowledge of insurance industry regulations and compliance requirements is desirable.
