We are currently partnering with the Singapore arm of this Global Private Equity group to recruit for an Associate level professional to join the Financial and Professional services segment of their Value Creation Team. The Value Creation team are responsible for managing companies that the business invest in, providing strategic insight and optimizing EBITDA. This segment consists of financial and professional services groups outside of banking, funds and insurance (tax advisory, accountancy, audit, legal, strategy consulting and market intelligence amongst others) as well as non consumer and TMT clients (education, childcare, senior care in particular). It is a highly diversified portfolio, offering the successful candidate excellent variety in terms of scope.
With the support of your team you will work to assess value optimization options for the existing portfolio, whilst looking for new investment opportunities through the firm’s existing network as well as via your own market research efforts. In addition to this you will be looking to perform regular valuation analyses on the Financial and Professional Services portfolio across private equity and private debt channels.
Skills required:
- Direct industry experience within management consulting, strategy consulting or private equity sectors, investing across financial and professional services or education sectors
- Academic credentials covering Business, Finance, Economics and Law
- Experience of managing operational due diligence
- Proficiency in using Bloomberg and Capital IQ are beneficial
- Strong communication skills are essential
- Due to the increasing percentage of Chinese investments (and direct C-Suite, influencer contact), fluency in Mandarin would be highly advantageous
