Catastrophe Research Analyst

Up to £65,000 + Bonus

A global insurance leader is looking to bring on a Catastrophe research analyst in exposure management into their London office.

This is a research oriented role which will focus on performing periodic reviews and validation of commercial catastrophe models to build a strong model evaluation framework. Developing and executing projects related to model review, model adjustment, documentation for both modelled and no modelled perils.

You will focus on recording and modelling exposure information, producing reports and analytics to support underwriter portfolio management, pricing of risks, production or regulatory returns including: RMD & LCM and exposure of post event exposure analysis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge in RMS or AIR or experience in CAT model development. Programming language knowledge - Python and SQL preferable. Strong statistical and quantitative skills. Professional written and verbal communication skills. Experience in GIS software or geospatial data analyses is a plus.
