Job Description

Our client is a major insurer who provide a niche range of insurance products which are white labelled with full claims process and loss control built into the products. They currently require a relationship manager to act as the focal point between the insurance company and the Lloyd's market.

The role is a mixture of account management and relationship management / development. The account management part of the role requires candidates to have experience of the US property & casualty binders market. This may require having to do some technical work such as managing bordereau's and chasing cash reconciliations on an existing book of business, but it also embraces the client facing aspects or the role, with day to day relationship management with various Lloyd's underwriters and CUO's. 

The role will also require travel to the US to meet cover holders and liaise with the head office. Candidates will need to have experience within Lloyd's and understand the relationship between cover holder, insurer and syndicate in respect of US binder business. The successful candidate will need to be a polished and erudite individual who is happy to travel to the US when required. 

The role does not require underwriting experience so it is very likely that someone from the broking market world relish the mixture of technical and relationship management. Candidates will need to be used to working without supervision and managing their own workload without the assistance of a large team of administrators.
