I'm partnering with a multi-strategy global asset manager with a sizeable and complex portfolio of private equity and infrastructure investments who are looking for someone to join in a pure middle office role. The role itself is a superb entry point into a brand name fund with considerable global reach and significant AUM, suited to someone from an advisory profile in a big 4 firm or similar or with equivalent experience gained in-house in a fund.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Investment Teams, Deal Closers, Tax, Legal and external advisors to provide finance expertise on deal closing and ongoing monitoring
- Provide financial and operational inputs on holding structures and funding mechanics
- Assess other accounting and valuations implications and manage various work streams with internal stakeholders and external advisors during investment and/or divestment processes
- Review monthly market value updates, prepare variance and returns analysis, work with the internal valuations team and deal team where internal valuations are utilised
- Investment support to Europe Infrastructure/Real Estate
- Assist in coaching junior team members
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant - ACA, CFA or equivalent
- At least 5 years relevant working experience (ideally within either Private Equity or Infrastructure and in supporting direct transactions)
- Good understanding of deal closing mechanics
- Experience using BI tools is advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and deliver to deadlines
- Proven teamwork abilities with an interest in developing new skills and knowledge
