Exciting new opportunity to join this global general insurance underwriter. Reporting to the Head of Compliance this a conduct risk focused role, supporting the Compliance function to ensure appropriate oversight of key high risk regulatory outsourced arrangements, including but not limited to health products and mobile phone insurance.

In this role you will take responsibility for developing, creating and analysing relevant conduct management information across the arrangements to ensure appropriate oversight of conduct risk controls and key performance indicators. You will also be responsible for undertaking deep dive investigations to identify and mitigate increasing conduct exposure.

Key responsibilities include -

  • Collate monthly data and present to the Conduct & Products Oversight Committee (CPOC)
  • Produce high level management information for Boards
  • Collate and prepare information for regulatory reporting for UK and European Entities
  • Maintain a complaints log
  • Maintain a log of action items and follow up to closure
  • Continually identify areas of improvement in the customer journey and product
  • Analyse claims and complaints information to identify potential areas of good and poor customer outcomes
  • Identify and recommend areas of improvement to ensure the product(s) and service(s) remain appropriate for the intended target market
  • Provide sign-off for final response on formal complaints
  • Undertake regular detailed reviews of each of the products distributed by the relevant outsourced providers
  • Work with colleagues in the compliance team to sense check and challenge developed oversight processes
  • Liaise with external legal providers to ensure appropriate sign-off for all product T&C's and other product literature
  • Ensure complaints escalated to the ombudsman are appropriately handled
  • Co-ordinate internal oversight to ensure management information is received in a timely manner
  • Document all oversight processes and procedures and maintain to ensure up to date
  • Maintain copies of all product literature with version control

Experience & knowledge required -

  • Previous experience in a similar conduct related role with a strong understanding of consumer products and related regulations
  • High attention to detail and experienced in review policy wordings and collate data
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written) and the ability to build relationships across the business
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative team
  • Fluent English; other languages are a plus
