Great opportunity for you to join this global re/insurer and develop your compliance skills within the London market. Working closely with the Head of Compliance this is a broad role with coverage across financial crime, monitoring, TOBA's and conduct risk.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide assistance with respect to the complaints process.
  • Working with our Consulting partners to provide oversight and administration of the broker approval process (on-boarding of brokers - broker due diligence and TOBA administration).
  • Undertake scheduled Compliance Monitoring as detailed in the annual compliance monitoring plan such as sanctions and licensing slip reviews, gifts and hospitality, third party payees, denied claims, cancelled policies and anti-money laundering and summarising any findings.
  • Undertake financial crime risk assessments for coverholders / binding authorities. Ensure Compliance Delegated Underwriting approvals are dealt with promptly, escalating matters as appropriate.
  • Maintain the Compliance SharePoint site including keeping any underwriting / claims / other guidelines / reference tools current.
  • Oversight and administration of on-line regulatory training.
  • Ensure appropriate dissemination and recording of of regulatory / Market bulletins and publications to the business.
  • Assist in ensuring the efficient running of the Product Oversight Group, including drafting agendas, minute taking, liaising with the Chair and members, collating committee papers, circulation of papers.
  • Undertake regular reviews of sanctions matches, clearing false positives and escalating true matches as appropriate
  • Provide assistance in the oversight and co-ordination of the business' annual Lloyd's Oversight Principles self-assessment , and to provide updates on any outstanding actions.
  • Oversight of the regulatory returns process and maintenance of the Sharepoint site/ calendar, liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure returns are submitted and signed off in a timely manner.
  • Provide general administrative support to members of the Compliance team.
  • Provision of Compliance advice for the business including specific requests from the underwriting and claims functions around sanctions, distribution, conduct, licensing and ad-hoc
  • Provision of specific Compliance Training where required
  • Represent the Compliance Function as necessary at various groups and management committees
  • Provide ad-hoc compliance duties, where required contributing to company projects as necessary.

Experience and knowledge required:

  • A minimum of 1 years experience in compliance within a Lloyd's syndicate or insurance company
  • Strong academic record.
  • Some legal knowledge an advantage
  • First class people skills and a team player
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • SharePoint experience an advantage
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word
