Job Description

The Role

  • Supporting the business by providing specialist, high quality, accurate and timely, regulatory advice and guidance, with a particular emphasis on (where relevant) FCA and Irish regulatory requirements across the clients Insurance business.
  • Provide a regulated entities wide view of compliance activities in order to develop synergies, high quality compliance and drive consistency where appropriate.
  • Working with the business to ensure that there are appropriate systems and controls in place to meet the clients, and our regulators expectations.
  • Providing effective challenge to the business and identifying and escalating risks and issues, working with colleagues in the team and across the business to provide practical, pragmatic solutions to help the business move forward.
  • Providing support to the other Business Partners and wider team as necessary.
  • Promoting a robust and effective conduct and compliance culture across the relevant regulated entities.

Key skills and experience

  • Insurance experience is required
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the FCA handbook - principles, rules and guidelines
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, in particular Conduct Risk
  • Knowledge and understanding of insurance, principles, products and services
  • Broad knowledge of risk management practices
  • Working knowledge of both the UK and Irish regulatory requirements
  • University degree or recognised industry accreditation
  • Professional qualification (desirable)
  • 5+ years of experience within compliance
