  • Be an active member of a department that strives to remain ahead of the regulatory change agenda and ensures the business understands and is prepared for change.
  • Support our 'compliance culture' by proactively engaging and building stakeholder relationships.
  • Compliance lead for compliance review and monitoring of delegated underwriting and claims arrangements.
  • Compliance lead for the resolution of customer complaints and production of Complaints MI
  • Compliance lead for reviewing IPIDs and associated customer documentation.
  • Assist with conduct risk related matters and production of conduct risk MI.
  • Assist with the assessment and implementation of key regulatory changes (SMCR and IDD)
  • Assist with sanctions batch screening and the resolution of any financial crime related queries.
  • Assist with the resolution of Licencing queries.
  • Assist with any monitoring / 'deep dive' reviews in accordance with the annual monitoring plan.
  • Provide ad-hoc technical compliance advice to relevant business units
  • Assist in the development, drafting, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of group policies and practical guidance
  • Assist in the preparation of reports to Boards and committees as required
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory returns in a timely manner
  • Maintain an understanding of & comply with all relevant FCA / PRA / Lloyd's regulatory requirements and other relevant regulatory requirements (including overseas requirements where relevant)
  • Keep abreast of development of FCA, PRA & Lloyd's (and overseas as applicable) regulatory requirements

Experience and knowledge required 

  • Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Cert CII and/or equivalent Insurance qualifications
  • Good understanding of the Lloyd's regulatory environment applicable to managing agents
  • Prior experience of undertaking internal control/business monitoring activity preferable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively analyse large amounts of data and identify trends
  • Take responsibility and use their own initiative to own and resolve any issues
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and Windows
  • Ability to work as an individual and in a team
  • Be commercially aware
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to engage effectively with senior management
