A market leading London based hedge fund are seeking to appoint an experienced Management and Financial Accountant guru into a newly created role. This position is brand new, yours to create and would oversee all accounting for their main management company entity, supporting the CFO to carve the position out from a partially outsourced set up.
The role will be incredibly vast, from all financial, management and expense accounting, budgeting and forecasting through to preparing board packs and financial analysis as well as managing the transactional aspects of finance. You'd need to be comfortable doing everything, from paying the bills and managing cashflow through to sitting down with the Partners to talk through their business and plans for the future. It's a three person finance team, everyone is hands on and you're guaranteed to have plenty of variety and spice in your life day to day.
Additionally the role offers exposure to the founding partners as you'd present to them regularly; ideal for building up longer term FD/CFO credentials. In terms of candidate - our ideal person would be:
- A fully qualified accountant or equivalent with excellent academics and at least 2-3 years PQE or similar. You'll be presenting to senior management regularly and it's important you have a track record of delivery in a hands on or autonomous role.
- A varied background that's touched on all aspects of finance. Industry experience doesn't matter - financial services would be ideal but candidates from commerce and industry or professional services should also definitely apply.
- A positive attitude, low maintenance personality and willingness to chip in and roll your sleeves up.

Final point! Salary on offer is ~£60-70,000 depending on experience plus bonus in the region of 50% give or take.
