An international Investment Manager is setting up a new Data Operations team in London and are looking for a Data Analyst to join them as soon as possible.
This position provides operational support and services representing Global Operations & Data Management, supporting successful outcomes for both internal and external clients.
Prior experience or exposure in the following areas is preferred:
- Set up and maintenance of Portfolio Data
- checks and corrections on data received from third party administrators e.g. positions, security, prices,
- Maintenance of security and static data
- Familiarity with Bloomberg per security as a source of Security data
- Liaison with 3rd party data vendors
- Maintenance of EDM and related data systems, e.g. security, static, pricing, benchmark
- Good securities knowledge
- Strong asset management background
- Experience of working on projects with a substantial data component
Requirements:
- Knowledge of various file/ transmission formats and technologies is required, including XML, flat file formats, FTP and ETL technologies.
- Willingness to be involved in new and ongoing corporate initiatives
- Works effectively with others within and across the networked organization. Listens to colleagues irrespective of level or business unit, and values their contributions, taking all views into account as part of the decision-making process.
- Ability to work with tight deadlines, strong time-management skills.
- Able to handle and complete multiple projects occurring at the same time.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Technology, or related field required.
