My client , a global insurance client are looking to recruit based on the onset of a significant project of work. On this occasion my client are looking to recruit an experienced data architect on an initial 6 month contract.
The data architect will be working on a very high profile project building a data platform for a foreign subsidiary to the clients organisation.
The data architect will ideally have the following hard skills :
- Preferably knowledge and experience of using AWS data platform technologies
- Experience of working in a complex data environment from both the business and technology aspects
- Experience and understanding of the London / Lloyds speciality
- Experience in building complex data platforms, handling structured and unstructured data
- Excellent practical knowledge of a range of data-related technologies, including:relational database (eg. Postgres, Oracle)
- non-relational database (eg. MongoDB, Parquet, JSON)
- data integration (APIs, ETL, etc)
- data warehouse (eg. Snowflake)
- data reporting / visualisation / analytics (eg. PowerBI, Tableau)
- data modelling tools (eg. ER Studio, ERWin
It is also a huge advantage if the data architect has :
- Good experience of using and managing Sparx EA tool, including Configuration and development of add-in features
- Development and application of tool usage best practice
- General knowledge and understanding of tool structure and features
