A multinational leading firm that clears a range of asset classes is looking for a data engineer / scientist to join their business risk management department.
Key responsibilities
- Work on extracting, manipulating and loading data in the newly built data storage;
- Contribute to ongoing infrastructure improvements;
- Support on-going IT projects where input from the team is required;
- Analysis of the clearing and risk data to look for trends and new business opportunities for the firm
- Clearing data analysis
- The role will need to be key communication point notably between stakeholders, business teams across areas, and IT teams.
Candidate profile / key skills
- Demonstrable experience with storage technologies (Oracle, MongoDB) and business intelligence solutions (Qlik Sense);
- Hands-on experience with data handling: ability to extract, prepare, and structure data (Oracle, MongoDB, Bloomberg, Reuters);
- Excellent coding skills (R, Excel/VBA, SQL), and overall good IT skills e.g. follows best practices, robust solution designs; Git experience and Unix skills is an advantage);
- Analytical background with good knowledge of statistics is a plus;
