A well know International Buyside client is looking for a Data Operations Senior Manager, to join a newly established team in London.
This is a new project to design and implement a data strategy alongside with other stakeholders for the front and middle office environment over the next 1-2 years, replacing a series of disparate systems and processes. Define and implement data management processes and oversight procedures to ensure data integrity.
Your role (and your team’s role) will provide a high-level data analysis and is expected identifying and tracking issues with data quality, traceability of data, gaps between current practice and best practice as well as a clear understanding of the interdependencies between systems and other functions
Your stakeholders will largely be Front Office (Implementation and Analytics). Investment Operations, Risk and Performance. Knowledge of ALL asset classes is required and OTC Derivatives is highly desirable.
Advanced ability in SQL and Excel are expected. Any other coding experience or quantitative analysis knowledge is highly desirable.
The ideal candidate must have the following:
- End to end implementation of an Enterprise Data Management (EDM) tool (Bloomberg PolarLake or Markit EDM for example)
- Advanced experience as a Data Manager with some exposure to front office investment data analytics is expected.
- Advanced SQL for data manipulation and transfer
- Advanced Excel
