Data Value Management Specialist - London (Hybrid) - 6 months
Job Summary:
This is a contract opportunity for an experienced data management specialist to help drive development of best practice capability across Data Quality, Data Governance and Master Data Management. You will be responsible for supporting the Head of Data Value Management develop Centres of Excellence that deliver Data Governance and Data Quality products across the enterprise. You will be responsible for establishing a culture of "Data Value" and work with the business to mature data capabilities and literacy as they undertakes a significant investment in modernization
Key Responsibilities:
- Support development the Data Value Management function, with associated team, processes and tools to achieve data objectives
- Focus on developing data capabilities to deliver enhanced business outcomes and ensuring our investment in modern data architecture delivers federated products and services.
- Support implementation of effective Data management frameworks that enhance capability and maturity across my customer and ensure appropriate, accurate and up-to-date information is integrated into our systems at the point of need
- Dynamically use the latest trends in data quality and data governance to drive positive change in people, process, technology and governance
- Ensure the successful implementation and adoption of the Master Data Management (MDM) processes and tools by data owners and stewards
- Devise and monitor appropriate value indicators that measure clients data quality performance globally and regionally.
- Ensure alignment between data governance best practice, Data Privacy procedures and requirements and IT policy / strategy
- Build and maintain good working-relationships across the Data team and other key stakeholders across the customer to achieve shared goals
- Provide thought leader and subject matter expertise on Data Ethics and Governance, simplifying the art and making it accessible to employees
- Work closely with business stakeholders to stay close to opportunities and challenges that exist and provide guidance on factors that could impact data collection and processing
knowledge and Experience
- Experience of working in Data Governance and Quality role
- Detailed knowledge of business and technology issues related to data management
- Clear knowledge and experience relating to the application of data governance, data privacy and data ethics principles to support and drive data strategy
- Built, delivered and managed detailed data quality measurement frameworks
- Established governance processes and engaged teams (direct and matrix), to lead and implement enterprise-wide data governance and demonstrable improvements in data quality
- An expert in information management practices including information lifecycle management, data profiling, master data management and carrying out business audits and requirements gathering
- Experience using automation to manage and support data governance and quality
- Previous experience of developing and managing a data catalogue
- Experienced at using the relevant statutory frameworks such as the GDPR and other data privacy regulations to drive data governance and data ethics
- Proven experience of developing and implementing a Data Governance Framework and a Data Quality Management service
- Working knowledge of lean, continuous improvement and Agile ways of working
