A leading city based insurer requires a Desktop Refresh Business Analyst to complete a desktop refresh from Windows 7 to Windows 10, including repackaging of all applications into App-V packages and using App-V for application distribution.

The BA filling this role will deliver a complete technical understanding of each application, meeting the packaging standard pre-requisites so that the application itself is ready for the packaging team to pick up and complete the packaging process.

This role will cover 300 desktop applications and will cover:

  • Application Discovery co-ordination
  • Application information gathering and analysis
  • Population of the Application Packaging information gathering document for each application

ESSENTIAL Experience for this role as follows:

  • Desktop application migrations (this does not mean server application migrations)
  • Desktop application packaging
  • Have been responsible for the gathering of technical and business information that enables application packaging work to commence
  • Windows 7 to Windows 10 desktop migration programme of work
