Job Description

One of the largest Mergers & Acquisitions advisory teams in the London Insurance market is looking for a Development Executive / Business Development Manager to join its new business team. You will be working within an established function whose remit is to identify new business opportunities, advise prospective clients on options available to them, and ultimately deliver ongoing revenue to the business.

Mergers & Acquisitions is one of the fastest growing areas of the Insurance Market and has seen a 60% year on year growth (policy volume). The products on offer typically centre on the acquisition or disposal of companies (whole, branches or subsidiaries), properties (real estate), or other similar transactions. The segment is also known as Transactional Liability or Transaction Risk.

Your role will be to build networks with potential clients – typically solicitors, private equity houses, institutional investors or other similar entities – with a view to providing insurance solutions to offer guarantees for the transactions they are carrying out. This is a highly technical product and the solutions will include involvement from a number of internal and external advisors.

As the class is rapidly growing the experienced talent is finite, therefore my client is willing to consider candidates from related market segments or companies, this could include Insurance Brokers who are experienced in winning business with similar clients. Alternatively an individual who is used to networking and winning business with the aforementioned client types (solicitors, PE’s) but from another financial services industry will also be considered.

In addition to a highly competitive basic salary, you will receive an annual bonus, strong benefits package and all of the training and development support you might require to be successful in this role.

If you feel that the experience above describes you, and you’re looking to move into the Mergers & Acquisition Insurance market, please don’t hesitate to apply, or contact me directly on kerren.leach@eamesconsulting.com
