One of our large financial services customers are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer, to be part of a company-wide Operations effectiveness and efficiency programme, with a focus on agile working and DevOps, with the utilisation of 'new world' and innovative technologies.
This is to be part of a longer term position, due to the nature of the programme, my client is looking for someone highly technical, an SME in the automation space, and preferably someone from a development background.
Due to the nature of the role, you will need the following experience:
- Must be an SME in the Cloud Automation space, with extensive with the Azure cloud platform
- Extensive experience of a range of containers and container orchestration tools, like Docker, Kubernetes and ECS
- Hands on commercial experience with CD tools, and other configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet or Chef
- Development background would be highly advantageous, for this role, but ultimately looking for someone who has strong experience in debugging applications preferably in Java, but any of the following would also be useful;
- Must have in dept experience with on of the following Git based technologies: Github, Gitlab or Bitbucket
