Job Description

  • Account Leadership

    • Build, foster, lead and own key client relationships

    • Spearhead entrenchment and growth of key accounts by developing and actively implementing account strategies 

    • Track and deliver on account revenue and profitability targets

  • Supervise & constructively direct the team to produce clear strategies and briefs which deliver great outcomes

    • Contribute to digital pitches and business development.

    • Develop a strong understanding and tracking of client/category competitive environment.

    • Lead the creation and development of meaningful and well-articulated creative briefs.

    • Oversee the timely production of clear, concise written documentation including Briefs, Proposals, Cost Estimates, MSAs, SOWs, Timelines, FSDs, etc.

  • Identify and consistently improve ways of working that allow the group to efficiently deliver quality work

    • Establish best practices and processes for Account Management across the agency including working processes between Account Management, Project Management, Strategy, Creative, Marketing and Technology teams.

    • Develop the professional competencies of people in the group and drive the team to improve performance

    • Serve as the internal expert for the account management team.

    • Set an example and build team morale  

  • Provide strategic counsel and direction to each client

    • Develop trusted relationships with senior clients and delight them with our work

    • Support creation of Statements of Work and support generation of cost estimates.

    • Expands knowledge of digital tactics and new technologies as they develop, where applicable, and keeps abreast with industry/category best practices.

Requirements:

  • Education/ Experience: Degree from an accredited school.

  • 7-12 years of account management and/or management level marketing, a minimum of 3 years of which has been in an agency environment; preferably with a combination of strategy, creative, digital marketing, and technology. B2B exposure is an added bonus.

  • Proven success in account growth and revenue generation.

  • Demonstrated strategic or consultative approach to account management.

  • Strong aptitude for building “partner” relationships with clients and colleagues.

  • Strong understanding of marketing new media techniques including Internet, Intranet and extranet development, as well as an understanding of overall marketing strategy and integrated communications.

  • Interpersonal Requirements: Keen attention to detail.

  • Strong account management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • An international perspective, liaising with multiple markets across APAC.

  • A proven track record executing complex projects of $1M+ in size.

  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of an organization, from project manager to executive, while still introducing elements of fun and humour in the workplace.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation abilities.

  • Strong listening skills and the ability to be open to new ideas from team members, coworkers, industry sources and clients.

  • Ability to oversee and lead several clients at once.

  • A source of innovation, passion and creative vision.

  • Must have sound financial management skills
