My client is a market leading provider of international insurance services across multiple sectors worldwide.
In recent years they have grown substantially as a business and part of this has been through acquisitions made within the insurance services space. Consequently they have a numerous systems operating under the broader integration. Although keen to allow arms of the business to maintain their separate identities and operations, they are keen to enhancing organisational efficiency and support a tech-forward culture across the business by improving their 'behind the scenes' software environment.
As part of this mission they have built out a new Digital team, in which this role sits. The initial work will focus around their new Low Code Application Development Platform (LCDP) and the extraction and integration around their substantial data archive.
About you
My client is looking for someone with solid .Net development skills, with strong SQL Server and some WCF experience.
You don't need to be a career developer - the ideal is some with a solid understanding and capability to enable them to build end to end 'digital' / online solutions.
Below is a 'wish list' to give an indication of what else you could potentially bring to the table, however we would love to hear from anyone who is skill and competent in .Net, SQL and WCF regardless:
Nice to see:
- Experienced .NET developer
- Experience working on data focussed projects
- Previous experience working with a Low Code Development Platform
- Expertise on the ASP.NET and MVC.NET frameworks
- Track record in designing, developing and supporting a wide range of applications
- Experience with JavaScript, CSS and HTML5
- Familiarity with the Microsoft BI platform (SQL,SSMS,SSRS,SSIS,SSAS)
- Experience of various database platforms: Oracle and SQL Server
- Utilised various application development methodologies: Waterfall/Agile development
- Visual Studio
- Worked with various in-house, nearshore and offshore project teams
- Previous experience in the Insurance industry or similar e.g. financial services or consultancy
