- Focus on Trading and executing physical cargos
- Prepare and implement trading plan which defines trading objectives, practices and procedures
- Execute and manage trading positions within defined trade limit protocols
- Provide analysis of global and domestic sugar market fundamentals with a focus on Asia
- Remain close to on-the-ground developments in policy and legislative areas relating to sugar
- Provide timely advice to the group on the market, regulatory, pricing and quality issues
- Develop relationships with customers and suppliers and communicate with them regularly to obtain information on customers’ and competitors’ activities and other market intelligence
- Makes day to day decisions on trading activity in close consultation with key members of the commodity group
- Entails responsibility for interpreting, negotiating and resolving problems relating to customers and service providers
