Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Communication of exposures
  • Internal reporting
  • Responsibility for all communications with Lloyd's
  • Working across all functions within the Exposure Management team, including Catastrophe Modelling, Portfolio Analytics and Research to deliver on the team's objectives
  • Work with Head of Exposure Management to ensure alignment of objectives to support company's strategic direction
  • Refining and building view of risk
  • Manage responsibility of Event Response, working with the business in choosing the most appropriate approach to derive loss estimates
  • Participate in the joint activities of the Exposure Management Team
  • From time to time take part in relevant projects throughout the wider business
  • Keep up-to-date with new science and technological developments in the Catastrophe Management field

Required Experience

  • Relevant experience within a Lloyd's Exposure Management team

Technical Skills

  • Excellent understanding of Lloyd's business and regulatory and reporting requirements
  • Advanced skills in using SQL or other programming languages
  • Interest and inclination to learn additional skills and software
  • Experience with using and interpreting outputs from simulation platforms
  • Understanding of catastrophe modelling and (re)insurance
  • Interest and understanding of managing emerging risks
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to present to a variety of audiences

Education and Qualifications (Desirable)

  • Educated to degree level preferred but not essential for an excellent candidate
  • Other relevant professional qualifications (or progress towards) such as ACII, CRM or CCRA
