A global and trusted name in financial services has an attractive new opening for a Finance Business Partner to sit within their IT services division in Central London.

Role overview

This role requires a Qualified Accountant with solid experience working within an IT division or business, and with an understanding of how new developments (cloud, outsourcing, offshoring etc.) are changing IT financials.

Reporting to the Head of Finance for the IT division, you will also partner closely with the Head of Technology and Head of Vendor Management and their respective leadership teams. This will be a challenging role as it requires the Finance Business Partner to establish strong working relationships with several senior stakeholders.  

You will be instrumental in providing advice to support decision making, and driving the financial performance of the division. This will be done through the production of valuable MI, forming a realistic yet challenging business plan, engaging with the business leaders on new initiatives and what needs to be implemented in order to achieve objectives, utilising knowledge and making suggestions to maximise results, and challenging the business by utilising your deep knowledge and credibility.

As Finance Business Partner you will also support one of the division’s customers. You will provide extensive MI relating to their consumption of services and cost recharges. You will also work with the customer to model how service level changes will impact their recharges moving forwards.

The successful candidate:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • IT finance experience (either working in finance for an IT business or within the IT department of a Financial Services business)
  • Strong understanding of how new developments (cloud, outsourcing, offshoring etc.) are changing IT financials
  • Significant business partnering experience and challenging the commercial implications of decisions
  • Experience of delivering advanced financial information and results to a broad audience, and being able to simplify complex information/limit technical jargon
  • Accustomed to guiding others in accounting issues to solve unique/complex problems
