Finance Director appointment at a high growth capital markets business suited to someone coming from a small to medium sized company that operates across sell side. The company have a unique product offering that has enabled them to scale and grow rapidly since they begun trading just over ten years ago; they operate out of a number of global locations with a boutique feel, down to earth culture and plans to continue investing and growing. This is a crucial senior leadership appointment suited to someone looking for a broad and hands on role that will ensure you're involved in all aspects of finance as well as more commercial decision making.
Responsibilities will cover the full gambit of finance, from oversight of all day to day reporting requirements through to regulatory reporting and CASS, FP&A and involvement in a raft of more commercial and strategic projects. It's likely you'll be an experienced financial controller, head of finance or finance director looking for your first meaty role or equivalent with a wide breath of experience to draw from. Lastly, you'll be someone who enjoys managing and leading a small finance team, with this role responsible for mentoring, coaching and developing an existing team of qualified and part qualified accountants.
The CEO is keen to consider people who are qualified accountants with at least 10 years or equivalent PQE and ideally experience across financial/management accounting, regulatory reporting and FP&A. Their preference is for someone coming from a broker, trading firm or capital markets business due to the need for experience and understanding of client money rules and regulation.
