Pivotal senior leadership position at a rapidly expanding Mayfair based boutique Property Investment Management business - suited to someone likely looking for their first FD appointment or equivalent. The firm have an impressive portfolio of European real estate assets and significant tenure in the market with this role designed to provide day to day management and leadership to a small team of accountants, as well as technical oversight for all Finance matters.
Broadly the role will involve oversight for all aspects of finance which is partially outsourced including fund accounting, corporate accounting, asset level accounting, financial modelling and treasury - providing guidance and expertise to your team. The role will also provide some support to the board from a commercial and strategic perspective, working as part of a close knit team of around 25 London based professionals.
Given the specialist nature of the appointment, it's crucial you have experience in a senior role in Funds Finance (fund accounting) likely gained at a real estate or private equity fund or similar. Direct experience in property investments would be ideal but isn't essential provided you understand accounting for closed end funds. Preferably you will also have excellent academics and initial training in an accounting firm or equivalent.
