Global Bank is currently looking for a Finance Manager to join their Insurance Finance team in Bristol. The role has been created as a result of the current incumbent moving internally in the wider Finance team. The role will focus on producing robust statutory reporting and financial analysis with great emphasis on growing as a person and developing your career.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for month end close and associated reporting.
  • Production of key monthly and annual reports along with operating and enhancing financial controls.
  • Strong involvement in supporting the delivery of small scale projects and continuous improvements.
  • Support and development of other team members.
  • High level of interaction with other finance areas to understand current trends and impacts.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant - ideally ACA gained from a top 10 practice
  • Proven experience within financial services (banking/insurance) with derivatives knowledge
  • Strong academic background - minimum 2:1 degree from a leading university
  • Technically strong with experience using Orale and SAP systems is desirable
  • Experience in producing complex sets of accounts, manipulating large amounts of data and providing relevant insight with an eye for detail and accuracy.

The role will involve daily interaction with key stakeholders and clients consequently, it is essential that you have exceptional interpersonal skills.
