Large Financial Services firm currently looking for a Finance Manager (Finance Controls & Assurance) join their Corporate Division team in London. The role will be responsible for reviewing and maintaining the key financial controls framework and will be involved in many project-based work.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for reviewing and the governance of the global balance sheet reconciliations and substantiation process.
  • Ensure that all internal control standards are appropriate, reviewed and documented in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Design and support in implementing an effective financial control and risk environment.
  • Full control in the preparation, analysis and reporting of potential high-risk items and supporting improvements in strategic decision making.
  • High involvement in continuous improvement processes to ensure the control environment is up to date.
  • Ad hoc project work.

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background - minimum 2:1 degree from a leading university.
  • Qualified Accountant (Ideally ACA gained from a top 10 practice) - at least 3 years post qualification experience.
  • Proven experience working in a controls environment as well as experience in entity reporting to a group function.
  • Solid systems skills and the ability to learn new systems.
