My client is a global MNC Life Insurer looking for a enthusiastic, capable Finance professional to join their IFRS team to complete their 9+17 project. Unlike many other IFRS projects my client offers end to end project accountability and more autonomy throughout the implementation, with an additional guaranteed succession plan for the successful candidate. In addition to a broad and dynamic exposure, you'll be joining a team with an excellent working culture and work life balance. English and Cantonese a necessity with Mandarin an advantage.
Job Duties
- Creating new IFRS 9 + 17 accounting rules and logic as well as the Chart of Accounts
- Creating and expanding the company Accounting Cycle Aiding implementation for the project, with end to end accountability
- Helping to create technical IFRS17 documentation for internal/external stakeholders
- Assisting the expansion of management information and financial analytic frameworks for the projects
- Ad-hoc tasks
Job requirements
- Relevant university degree in accounting or relevant discipline (e.g. Finance)
- Accounting Qualifications (CPA, ACCA etc)
- At least 6 years experience gained from In-house or Big 4 Audit firms working in or covering Life Insurers/Insurance clients
- English and Cantonese language skills required; Mandarin a strong working advantage
- Knowledge of IFRS 17 much preferred Experience with SUN a benefit
