Well-known fund management business with an established track record in the UK market is seeking a Funds Finance Manager for a highly commercial role aligned to their private equity business. This incredibly business facing position is a stand-alone role sitting in with the private equity investment team and would suit someone comfortable being hands-on, managing all fund accounting and reporting through to valuations, portfolio reporting and some deal support work. The company doesn't outsource and as such the nature of this role is absolutely everything, from the basics of preparing fund financial statements for LPs, co-ordinating drawdowns, distributions, capital calls through to involvement in the quarterly valuation process and supporting the investment teams with ad hoc analysis. The wider finance team is around 25 people proving ample opportunity to grow longer term with the business.
Given the highly technical nature of the role, we're keen to speak to people who are qualified accountants - ACA/CA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent - with relevant fund accounting experience of closed-end fund structures. Unfortunately, the hiring manager won't consider people without proven funds finance experience given the need for someone who can hit the ground running. Experience in a Private Equity fund would be ideal but we're open to people from related asset classes like real estate or debt or from third party fund administration. Personality is crucial in this role and you need to be someone who is confident, approachable and with proven stakeholder management experience.
This role is looking to make an appointment ASAP and salary on offer is £70-80,000 base plus benefits and a very healthy above market bonus.
