Seeking a Finance Product Delivery Manager (FPDM) to lead and manage the Finance Systems Team. This team will oversee the provision of service/maintenance/development of systems used by Finance in delivering service to all its stakeholders.
This role requires specialist knowledge of the Finance Operating Model and is fully dedicated to the management and support of the Finance Function's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the Group Head of Finance Change, support the Finance Leadership Team in the delivery of Finance's Strategy
- Follow the product vision and strategy, leading your Finance Systems Team to deliver product features and changes
- Assess business value, develop cases, and prioritise user stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with Finance's strategy
- Work closely with the Finance Leadership Team to create and maintain a product backlog according to value and priorities; manage the backlog items and prioritise them based on business value and a clear understanding of dependencies
- Plan new features and changes to a product
- Mitigate impediments impacting successful Product Team completion of its release or sprint goals
Essential skills:
- Direct experience of working within an insurance organisation supporting Finance function and tools
- Skilled at structured problem solving, not intimidated by large and complex problems, but able to analyse, breaking them down and solving piece by piece while keeping sight of the overall 'big picture'. Ultimately being able to communicate rationally to non-technical stakeholders the path to the solution
- Experience of understanding modern business needs in terms of product distribution channels in a digital world.
- Demonstrable experience of Finance ERP systems, including general ledgers, budgeting, reporting and allocation tools
