A highly attractive role for a senior Finance and IT professional has arisen with an established and reputable Insurance business based in The City of London. This is a newly created position as a result of further business growth. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to really make their mark as they take full control over this function. 

The Finance Systems & MI Manager will head up and take full ownership of the maintenance, development, control, and operation of the finance systems infrastructure. This includes MI (finance and investment reporting), general ledger system, and the budgeting and planning tool.

As Finance Systems and MI Manager, you will be an advocate for technology and work across the finance department to enhance and encourage systems expertise and process automation.

You will act as the link between IT and Finance, working alongside the Finance Programme Manager to deliver finance change and take the lead on various finance systems projects, such as IFRS17.

To be considered for this position you should possess/demonstrate the following:

  • Qualified Accountant with exceptional IT and Finance Systems expertise
  • Ability to understand the requirements of the finance / accounting functions, their processes, and how technology can support their needs  
  • Project management experience 
  • Gravitas to deal with a wide variety of stakeholders and senior management - finance/accounting/IT/CFO
  • Ability to assess the current status quo and make valuable suggestions which will improve efficiency, and implement the necessary changes
  • Knowledge of the insurance market
