A leading UK asset management business is urgently seeking an experienced Corporate Accounting / Financial Reporting / Group Accounting candidate for a 3 to 6 month contract role start ASAP. Due to the nature of the role they're open to candidates from asset management, financial services or commerce and industry BUT you must be readily available and able to start this role within 2 weeks.

Hybrid working 3 days in the office (Central London) and 2 days from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the preparation and delivery of a variety of individual and consolidated financial statements (consolidations experience essential)
  • Managing key deliverables for the annual audit process and liaising with external auditors
  • Preparing financial reports and analysis for senior executives, stakeholders and board members to inform and aid decision making
  • Preparation of reporting for external lenders.

Subject to capacity, the individual will also assist with the following:

  • Participation in the group annual budget and forecast process as well as ad hoc strategic planning initiatives
  • Assist in the development of new reporting as the group continues to expand both geographically and operationally, incorporating technology advancements and automation where possible
  • Participation in key finance change projects and identifying any process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness of the team
  • Ensure a robust control environment through aiding the design, implementation and monitoring of controls.

Your background:

  • Qualified accountant with 4-5 years post qualified experience or thereabouts
  • Essential experience required includes complex international consolidation and managing a large audit process / multi work stream finance projects (FRS 102 / IFRS)
  • Systematic approach in analysing and solving problems with good attention to detail
  • Personable and confident manner, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulatory standards and efficient financial processes. Strong Excel working knowledge
  • Experience working in SUN advantageous but not essential
  • Diligent work ethic, ability to prioritise with effective organizational and time management skills

Day rate on offer is £400-500 inside of IR35. Start date is early May or sooner.
