Job Description

A leading global insurance business is currently looking to appoint a Financial Analyst for one of their key business lines. This position will report directly to the Head of Finance and be responsible for monitoring the global financial performance of the business.

Duties as follows:

  • Monitoring the financial performance of the various business units and local insurers' profitability.
  • Consolidate financial & technical statements from third party service providers.
  • Monitoring and reconciling key control accounts with external sources.
  • Prepare monthly management report for the Group Strategic Planning & Control.
  • Support the production of the Quarterly Business Review.
  • Monitor the KPI's against the business plan and budget, and assessment of the business line's targeted achievements.
  • Identify / roll out budget parameters, assumptions and financial goals.
  • Submit the strategic plan/forecast to Group.
  • Prepare / monitor budget expenses.
  • Build / maintain the Cost Allocation model.
  • Ad-hoc analysis and preparation of supporting material for Senior Management.
  • Perform review of finance processes and internal controls.
  • Design / implement productivity improvements of finance procedures and reports.
About the successful applicant:
  • Degree Finance/Accountancy/Economics.
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Insurance experience either within industry or Big 4 audit.
  • Interest in insurance / financial world.
  • Comfortable handling figures and following procedures.
