Fantastic opportunity to join a world renowned and highly respected Alternative Asset Manager, this position will support the Head of in managing a team of 3 and taking responsibility for the EMEA subsidiaries of the firm

The firm are seeking to hire an individual with strong fundamental knowledge of Financial Control within Alternatives, coupled with team leadership skills who is looking for a larger platform to aid their development - the scope of the role, and experience to be gained would set someone on the ideal pathway for a No.1 position

Responsibilities will include:

  • Management of accounting team in London, coaching and developing them and managing escalations and queries
  • Oversee the timely and accurate completion of the monthly, quarterly and year-end closing, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS and other applicable regulations;
  • Work closely with the wider Corporate Accounting function in Asia, Europe & The US and across the wider business on internal and external deliverables, corporate initiatives and ad hoc projects;
  • Manage the preparation of regulatory filings, partnership and corporate tax compliance schedules;
  • Detailed review of key department deliverables to internal groups including quarterly management accounts packs, authoring performance narratives for board and committee audiences from non-financial backgrounds;
  • Driving control environment structure and development and identify operational improvements;
  • Confidence to build relationships and be the primary contact point for a range of stakeholders;

Key Experience Required

  • Chartered Accountant - ACA/CA Desirable - Trained within audit highly desirable
  • Experience of Financial Control within Asset Management - Alternatives preferred but wider Buy side considered
  • Management of people essential
  • Technically proficient within IFRS / GAAP / FRS 102 & FCA Regulations
