We are currently partnering with an established Financial Services organisation to support them in hiring a Financial Controller within their Wealth Management entity

The firm offer Wealth Management, Asset Management & Boutique Banking for clients - they are mid merger and will list in the US by years end - this is a role with significant room for growth and will lead a team of 2 whilst reporting into the Wealth Management CFO

Post merger & listing - this role will be responsible for all Non US entities (EMEA / APAC) - this business will be circa £8bn AUM & has 200+ employees. Taking complete ownership of this region, you will support the CFO & Colleagues within the business to ensure a smooth running of the function

Key tasks will include;

  • Responsibility for the financial statements for the International business- Management of US GAAP financial statements & support in the Company's SEC financial statements (Forms 10-K and 10-Q)
  • Oversight and sign off of UK GAAP/IFRS basis financial statements for statutory filings.
  • Manage the external audit process for the International Wealth Management business.
  • Manage a team of 2 and providing leadership & coaching to aid their development
  • Collaborate with the Financial Planning &Analysis team to assist with financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentation materials for the leadership team.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal controls in relation to the financial reporting process; proactively identify opportunities to enhance internal controls
  • Provide insight around acquisition accounting and integrations, purchase price allocations, consolidations, eliminations, and post M&A financial reporting and systems integrations

We are seeking to speak to individuals with relevant exposure to the above, as well as possessing the below wider skills

  • Qualified Accountant - ACA with proven post qualified experience
  • Experience within Financial Services - Ideally Wealth Management / Asset Management
  • Strong technical knowledge across US GAAP, UK GAAP and/or IFRS accounting standards is required
  • Experience with team management (2-3 heads)
  • Larger corporate / Listed entity exposure would be beneficial

Strong total compensation package with a base salary up to £100,000
