A fantastically broad and rewarding role at the UK office of a European wealth/asset management, capital markets and broking business, suited to someone probably around the 5 years PQE mark looking to step up into their first senior role. The company have been in operation for a considerable period with a sociable, supportive and collaborative culture. This role will head up the local UK finance team (2 direct reports), reporting into a Finance Director based overseas and would suit someone from a SME background in broking, capital markets or asset/wealth management.
Responsibilities will include:
- Monthly Financial Pack and quarterly Analytical P&L
- Oversee commissions due to sales traders
- Quarterly / Yearly FCA returns
- Production and review of quarterly VAT returns and annual adjustments
- Preparation of annual budget and monthly re-forecast
- Manage the UK payroll process
- Annual audit and preparing annual financial statements
- Production and maintenance of ICAAP and Liquidity Management policies
- Annual Tax Returns
- Production of annual P11ds, PSA returns
- Treasury Function (including FX)
- Responsible for the oversight and ongoing management and development of the Finance team in London
- Preparation of ad hoc information required by head office
Your background is likely to be:
- Qualified Accountant - ACA/CA, ACCA or equivalent - with at least 5 years PQE or equivalent
- A background working in a hands on role in a SME financial services organisation, preferably in broking, capital markets and/or asset or wealth management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; adept at working with stakeholders across an organisation as well as externally
- Numerate and methodical with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to take into account differing requirements, pressures and conflicts and give sound verbal reasoning
- Interested in the market, product and regulatory developments;
- Possesses honesty and integrity
Salary on offer is £80-90,000 plus benefits and bonus. Please note that tier 2 sponsorship is not available for this role.
