Job Description

The firm have been in existence for about 18 months with a target first close by the end of 2018. The business was set up by a number of industry veterans and aims to invest into mid market opportunities across the UK and Europe with an impressive investor base already in place reflecting the appeal of the managing partners and their previous track record of success.

As financial controller you'll play a crucial role in the set up and running of finance, operations and deal support so you need to be comfortable being hands on across a variety of areas. This will include appointment of relevant advisors/third party administrators, the selection and implementation of IT systems and establishing all reporting and accounting templates. Of course there will be a huge amount of commercial and unpredictable ad hoc work and close involvement in the fund closing and deal process once investing gets underway.

We're looking to meet people with relevant accounting qualifications - ACA, CA or equivalent - who have a track record of success at FC, Fund Controller or head of Finance level in private equity (essential). You'll need to be familiar with partnership structures and reporting and ideally have had exposure to other areas like legal and IT systems (in particular implementing new software). The role would likely grow and evolve over time and may eventually become an FD/CFO position at some point in the future. Please note that we do require someone with proven experience in-house at a private equity fund given the technical nature of the position and unfortunately the Partners won't consider anyone outside of this.

Salary on offer is £100-120k plus benefits and a healthy discretionary bonus.
