A large banking organisation is currently looking to expand their Financial Crime Surveillance team in Warsaw, Poland. 

The role assists the organisation in managing transactional risks and any potential breaches of regulation by the bank. The role reports to the Head of the function. 

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the team and Manager with AML transaction monitoring and any required investigation and ensuring they are able to manage their own work and hit deadlines when required.
  • Build concise reports on escalation of any alerts or risk events.
  • Work to ensure all policies are well documented and identify compliance problems that call for attention.
  • Identify potential new forms of counterparty misconduct.
  • Review system safeguards and recommend process enhancements.
  • Deliver MI and controls testing when required (adhoc).

Key skills

  • Proven technical expertise in the field of Fin Crime transaction monitoring.
  • Minimum 2 years of financial crime experience at another banking organisation and strong understanding of AML, Sanctions and ABC would be highly desirable.
  • Track record of BAU and project based transaction monitoring work.
  • Exposure to Mantas or ECM systems would be highly desirable.
  • Proven experience of working across teams and able to contribute to the strategic direction of a business.
  • Fluency in English language (written and oral).
