Global Investment bank is looking for Financial Planning & Analysis AVP to join their European Planning and Stress Testing team based in Dublin. This role will support the decision making process of the CFO and Executive teams by providing high quality decision support and analysis in particular focusing on forward looking planning activity including business performance and analysis, cost management, acting as a Finance Business Partner to business units, and consolidated reporting across the Bank

Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of a number of key planning & stress testing deliverables for both the European entity stakeholders and wider Group stakeholders - these include the Bank's MTP and IST, together with monthly deliverables such as the outlook and KPI processes
  • Support the team in terms of providing insightful analysis and understanding of business trends
  • Design and produce ad-hoc MI
  • Support (as needed) ad hoc projects and longer-term programmes (e.g. strategic initiatives)
  • Scenario modelling and analysis of the financial performance of BE
  • Implement continuous improvement and efficiencies by streamlining processes and reporting

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or Financial Reporting/Control role
  • Currently working within the Banking industry
  • Strong data manipulation skills, as this role involves the manipulation of large datasets and the distilling of key messages for an Executive audience
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Excellent academic background - minimum 2:1 degree
