Job Description

A globally renowned financial services organisation are ramping up their consolidations team, and as a result are hiring for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their existing team of 6. 

This role involves the consolidation of their global entities, of which there are over 100, including a mix of fully and part owned businesses, as well as join ventures. The role involves monthly management reporting, as well as statutory and regulatory reporting, working closely with the FP&A and central finance teams, as well as the individual Business Units (around 10 in total).

Job Scope

The role is split into Business As Usual tasks such as the month end consolidation, reviewing the accounts for the JVs and Holding co, quarterly reporting including SII deliverables, and working closely with the FP&A team with regards to their flash reports.

The other half of the role will focus on Finance Projects such as the implementation of a brand new consolidations system, IFRS 17 implementation, process improvements, and increasing the efficiency of balance sheet analysis and cashflow reporting.

This individual will also help train, guide and mentor more junior members within the team.

The successful applicant

To be considered for this role you will possess the following:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification.
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • External audit experience.
  • Sound knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Experience of working in a large / complex organisation.
  • Balance sheet analysis and commentary writing skills.
