Financial Reporting Accountant – Insurance – City of London

My client, a global city based insurance company are currently seeking a financial reporting accountant. The role will be to support the senior members of staff in meeting the US GAAP, IFRS and Solvency II (SII) reporting requirements. The company is currently going through a period of rapid growth and are looking for individuals who are ambitious and want to grow with the company.

The position:

The company is looking to enhance its finance team and maintain the high level of service provided to its clients. You will be reporting to the senior reporting accountant and will be responsible for the preparation of finance Solvency II balance sheet, assets and liabilities and quarterly group capital adequacy return. In addition you will be responsible for the quarterly reports under US GAAP for the head office and preparation of the technical accounting papers under IFRS, SII and US GAAP. Senior members of the team may also need you to take part in ad hoc duties and projects

 

You will meet the following requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA) with an insurance background

  • Self-driven and motivated individual keen to progress and seek further responsibility

  • Thorough attention to detail

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to deal with challenging deadlines and can effectively prioritise workload

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
