Global investment bank is currently searching for a Financial Reporting Associate to join their London desk. This role has been created through an internal move and is an ideal opportunity for a candidate looking for a financial reporting role whilst still having a heavy involvement in process improvements and projects for the desk.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly financial reports.
- Production of the annual statutory accounts for the company.
- Preparation of quarterly financial reports and providing financial commentary.
- Perform analysis of the accounting of new business initiatives.
- Responsibility for the implementation and subsequent reporting of the FINREP regulatory returns.
- Responsible for the accurate and timely submission of the FINREP templates to the PRA.
- Implementing an strong control framework across the department.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA).
- Post Qualified Experience within Financial Services – Ideally with the Banking Industry.
- Prior experience in producing Financial Statements and Disclosures.
- Good knowledge of IFRS9 Standards.
- Fundamental knowledge of Financial Products i.e. Derivatives.
This role requires daily interaction with key stakeholders across the business so it is essential that you have strong interpersonal skills. There are ongoing process improvements for the desk which this candidate will be heavily involved with so offers excellent variety on a daily basis.
