My client is a general insurance firm with a strong regional presence within Asia. They offer a variety of quality insurance products through non-traditional channels at competitive prices.
Responsibilities:
You will be managing a lean team based in Singapore and report into the CFO. You will be responsible for:
- Managing the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities within the finance teams.
- Consolidating and review of the Group monthly management reports.
- Identifying, implementing and leading process improvement to drive efficient and effective operations.
- Creating a culture of delegation and empowerment for the team to take ownership and responsibility in their roles and careers.
- Building relationships with key stakeholders, build trust as a respected business partner, actively assist them in managing their budgets.
- Driving effective performance management for the team, this includes but not limited to providing regular communication, feedback, coaching, mentoring and developing employees during their employment with the company.
- Working closely with CFO on all Finance Matters.
Requirements:
- Experienced in managing/ leading a small team over the past 5 years; preferably within Financial Services.
- Good commercial acumen, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Advantageous to have Risk Management/ Compliance experience.
- Degree in Accountancy or other relevant professional qualification.
